University stage and Draft 2012

This whole story is resumed on July 15, 1990. In the city of Oakland, in the city of the Golden State Warriors. And even though it looks like he's going to talk about Curry or Klay, it's not going to be like that, but I'm going to comment on the life of a real professional, who, more than a love of basketball, has a love for a city, and that city is Portland.

I'm talking nothing more and nothing less than Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard, one of my favorite players, and they make me enjoy basketball today. Really his time in college, it was very progressive. Unlike as players like Zion or LeBron, which with a year of college was enough for them to be considered NBA players, Lillard had to make the hole and the name, in order to earn the minutes and trust of the team. 

In his senior year, in 2011-12, what he did was very good for the Weber State team. As a freshman at Weber State, Lillard averaged 11.5 points per game and was named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big Sky. In his sophomore year, he raised his scoring average to 19.9 points per game and led the Wildcats to the conference championship. At the end of the season, Lillard was named Big Sky Player of the Year as well as honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press. Widely regarded as the top point guard prospect in the country, Lillard decided to skip his senior season to enter the 2012 NBA draft. 

He finished his college career as the No. 2 scorer in Weber State history (1,934 points) and the No. 5 scorer in Big Sky history.It's also true that Damian had no choice and played it to get to the last one, and that's what made him drop a bit of positions. 

Being 22 years old and just 18 years old is a big difference.For the 2012 draft, there were very good names by then. by then we didn't know what the future would hold, but right now I think doing a Lillard re-draft doesn't come down from pick number 2. 

Names such as Dion Waiters, Thomas Robinson or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are the ones who were chosen above Damian.
